We offer excellence in instruction so that when these athletes do choose a sport, no matter what sport, they will have gained from GBSA the ability and understanding to work towards the highest goals through excellence in basic technique, focus and dedication. We encourage these athletes to constantly work towards better mechanics, emotional and mental focus, and, of course, increased dedication to swimming. Greetings to all the Families of GBSA for 2015-16

Please review the roster and take note of your swimmer(s) placement(s) here: GBSA 2015-16 Roster

Also review our fall schedule listed below.  Please note the start time on Saturday and that is dependent upon the college.  It is 90% assured that Saturday start times will remain the same. Look for confirmation ASAP.

The next step each family should take is to register for the team email distribution list located to the right on this page. You will receive an email asking for confirmation – to this email you simply click reply and send, no need to type a response.  If you do not receive such an email please check your spam folder.  If you do not have it in spam either please check your settings and make sure you can receive group emails.  If at last nothing works email at swimgbsa@verizon.net  with email you want added and I will attempt to do so manually.

Secondly, start planning the days that you wish to train.  To accept the invitation to join us this season email your schedule request to swimgbsa@yahoo.com (please note the different address) – you may begin emailing your requested schedules Thursday 8/27 starting at 10am.  To be open and fair to everyone, please do not send earlier or to the Verizon account – this will not be accepted. (Side note: the HSD does not need to send requests nor do the SRS/BLS).

Please check this site and look for email soon for updated fee structure and specific way of writing out the checks (no we do not use credit cards).  Please make sure you get on that email list so you can receive my frequent communications.

Congratulations and welcome to our GBSA family.  The staff and I are excited for a great season of learning, improving and fast swimming.
Committed Groups:
BLJ:  10 and unders minimum of 3x per week; 11 and older minimum of 4x per week
BLS:  Minimum of 5x per week

GBSA is set-up on a quarterly basis. The quarters are:

  • September-October-November
  • December-January-February
  • March-April-May
  • June-July-August

Once you begin a quarter, YOU ARE FINANCIALLY COMMITTED TO THAT QUARTER -- NO EXCEPTIONS. (Serious physical illness or injuries are obvious cases for leniency). For example, if you start swimming in March, then later decide that another commitment is taking too much of your time, YOU STILL MUST PAY for the remainder of the quarter (April and May).

You have the option of paying on either a monthly or quarterly basis. Dues must be paid by the 15th of each month (or by the 15th of the first month of the quarter if you pay quarterly).

Quarterly (or monthly) Dues Structure
